Web Design Information
DOMAIN NAME & WEB SPACE:
Before you can have a website, you will need to have a domain name and a hosting. While we don't provide hosting ourselves, we can do all the work needed in setting up a hosting account for you. If you don't know where to get a domain and hosting, we can show you where to look. If you already have an existing domain name and/or hosting account, we would just need your login information in order to upload your new site onto it.
DESIGN:
We can make a good looking website for you no matter how much design information you provide us with. Give us as much or as little information about the design of the website as you want. We can do the rest! If you have absolutely no idea what you want your website to look like, we can design it all for you. If you have something in mind, just tell us how you want it to look or you can create a layout/outline to give to us. Be as specific as you want. We can customize the layout of your website to be whatever you want. We do not rely on the use of templates, which limit layout options. When we design your site, there's almost no limitation of design possibilities!
We are experienced in coding websites by hand from scratch, which means your website look however you want. Other web designers may not know how to actually hand code sites because they rely on the use prebuilt templates or programs to automatically create the website for them. Not only does this limit the look and customization of the website, but many web designers don't even know how to make minor changes, or troubleshoot certain problems. Since we have the knowledge of how the code actually works, any changes to any website can be made in any way. There are no limitations with the custom built websites that we design.
EFFICIENCY:
We always make sure each website we create is easy to navigate, fast loading and compliant with all popular browsers and screen resolutions. We do not make websites with a lot of distracting bells and whistles which cause slow load time and difficult navigation (unless of course, that’s what you want). We also make sure that each website we make looks correct on all major browsers and computers. Our websites are compliant with XHTML and CSS standards which ensure that the layout will be displayed correctly on as many computers as possible.
GRAPHICS & TEXT:
We can put any graphics and text you want on your website. You can give them to us in any format. You can give us physical papers containing content that you want on your website We can scan any graphics and type up any text straight out of catalogues or flyers. We can crop, resize and/or edit them any way they need to be. You can also give the content to us in any digital format (jpeg, gif, photoshop, txt, doc...). Files can be emailed to us, or given to us on a disc.
MULTIMEDIA CONTENT:
If you would like music or video on your website, we can include streaming flash movies, mp3s, wavs, midi files. We can extract songs and videos from cds or promotional dvds to include on your site.
OTHER:
We can also provide many other website features, including Adobe Flash content, which can be used to make small Flash animations or interface links, contact submission forms, JavaScripts, and so on... So if you're ready to get started, click the contact link and let us know what we can do for you!
