WORKPRINTS, ALTERNATE CUTS, ETC.

Here you will find any non-commercial edit of flicks I have.

200 Cigarettes workprint - Features alternate intro, lots of alternate takes and angles and two deleted scenes.

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective TV cut - Seldomly-aired, featuring about 10mins of hilarious deleted scenes and scene extensions. Taken from an original NBC broadcast.

Ace Ventura: Pet Detective composite - Deleted scenes from the TV version edited back into the DVD version.

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai in the 8th Dimension workprint - Roughly 15 minutes of new, unused footage including the cameo by Jamie Lee Curtis that was cut.

Aladdin workprint - Features some colored animation and some pencil roughs, this is a pretty cool insight into the animation process.

Alien: Redux - Composite of all available footage, approximating what an original test version may have been. Runs about 20mins longer than director's cut.

Alien 3 workprint - Contains a few more extra bits than the recent DVD

American Pie workprint - Still titled "Great Falls" at this point. Alternate score with some different music/dialog during the scrambled porno scene at the beginning, and more explicit footage of Nadia.

American Psycho workprint - Contains extra and alternate scenes, uncut scenes and no score.

An American Werewolf in Paris workprint - Contains some additional footage, plus an alternate ending.

Apocalypse Now - 5-hour workprint (2 discs)

Apocalypse Now - 5-hour workprint, but from a much lower-generation source and semi-restored audio. The ending from a commercially available version of the film has been edited in here because it contained more footage than the workprint ending. So, while this is not a 100% pure representation of the workprint, it's the longest version of the film around. (3 discs)

Arlington Road workprint - This version runs a few minutes longer than the theatrical cut and contains a few extra scenes.

Army of Darkness: Sci-Fi Channel cut - Unique cut that the Sci-Fi Channel created, featuring exclusive deleted/alternate scenes.

Army of Darkness: Primitive Screwhead Edition - This fanedit of the flick combines all available footage from every cut of the film into the most complete version available.

The Astronaut's Wife workprint - Features a lot of unfinished effects sequences (represented here by storyboards and text, as well as the radically different alternate ending.

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery test preview #2 - This version runs about 5minutes longer, containing some extra scenes and an alternate ending, but also missing a few.

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery extended edition/composite - Adds a few of the deleted scenes from the DVD back into the flick.

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me workprint - This version runs about 10mins longer, containing a number of extra scenes and an alternate ending.

Babes in Toyland broadcast version - When this 1986 remake was originally broadcast, it ran about two and a half hours. Subsequent airings and home video versions cut it down to an hour and a half. This is a very nice presentation of the original version. (2 discs)

The Big Lebowski workprint - Features an alternate score.

Big Trouble in Little China composite - Edits nearly all deleted footage found on special edition DVD back into the flick.

Black Sheep workprint - This doesn't contain any extra footage. Just a pretty timecode.

Blade Runner CBS TV cut - One of the dozenteen cuts of Blade Runner out there, edited for language and violence and the like.

Blade Runner 2008 extended edition - A very nice composite by ADigitalMan of the film using the deleted scenes on the 2007 DVD set. There are a number of audio tracks on the disc, including one with narration and one without narration. The disc is dual-layered.

The Blair Witch Project early version - The interviews with Mark Mason (Man In Yellow Hat) are missing, thereby excluding the scene that explains the ending. And the interview with Mary Brown is slightly extended. The drinking scene in the hotel room is also extended.

Boogie Nights workprint - I believe that this contains an extra scene or two, but I haven't watched it to verify.  The running time is roughly the same.

Braindead - Uncut 'Dead Alive'.

Bride of Re-Animator workprint - Missing some scenes from the theatrical release and contains some new scenes.

A Bug's Life workprint - Animation is incomplete in some areas (where it is replaced by storyboards) and rough in others.

Cabin Fever uncut composite - A few minutes of extra footage edited back into a home video release. More info on the restored material can be found here.

Captain America workprint - Why do I have a workprint of this awful movie? I don't know. Apparently contains some brief violence trimmed from the final cut.

Chasing Amy workprint - I can't say for certain whether there is actually anything extra in this workprint, but from a cursory scan, it didn't look like it.

Child's Play 2 extended  - This composite version runs around 5 minutes longer than the DVD version, it contains all the extra scenes from the TV Version and an alternate ending.

Class of Nuke Em High uncut - Taken from Japanese laserdisc. I can't find any info telling me what's uncut in this, if anything. So, grain of salt here.

Cliffhanger workprint - Runs about 20mins longer than the theatrical cut, containing the two extra scenes from the DVD, plus many others. The quality is pretty rough.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind: The Fourth Kind extended edition - Composite by ADigitalMan of all the unique footage from the three different cuts of the flick.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind: The Fifth Kind extended edition - Composite by ADigitalMan featurin all footage from all versions, plus the extra deleted scenes from the DVD set.

Coneheads TV cut - Basic cable edit of the SNL flick. Time cut from the flick was compensated for with a few scenes during the return to Remulac.

Creepshow workprint - This version runs around 11mins longer than the theatrical cut and contains 27 alternate and extended scenes.

The Crow workprint - Runs about 20mins longer than theatrical release. Visual effects are not yet completed, and a lot of the score is temporary. There are a lot of alternate takes and edits present here (usually not as good as the finals). The edits are not yet tightened, and there's a lot of extra lines of dialogue here and there. This accounts for most of the extra running time, but there is the infamous scene where Skank is shot while the convenience store is being held up by two kids.

The Crow Workprint + extras - I believe this is the same cut as described above, but it is from a different source. The timecode and property stamps are different, and it's from a lower generation source (i.e. it looks better). Also on this DVD are an early behind-the-scenes look at the film (about 5mins) and then an interview with Brandon Lee conducted during shooting. I believe this is supposed to be his last interview, but I can't confirm that.

Cruel Intentions workprint - Contains footage not in theatrical release, including a nude shot of Ryan Phillipe and an alternate ending.

Cube 2: Hypercube workprint - Has on-screen timecode, but no extra footage.

The Dark Half workprint - This version runs around 6 minutes longer than the theatrical cut; it contains extra scenes and an alternate ending.

Dawn of the Dead German cut - This is the "ultimate" cut of the flick, combining all known footage, and even a few alternate takes. The only downside is that the audio is in German.

Day of the Dead - Japanese cut with alternate takes

Day of the Dead - TV cut with alternate takes

Dazed and Confused workprint - Roughly 20 minutes of new, unused footage. No end credits.

Death Machine: Director's Cut - Runs about 8 minutes longer than the theatrical cut, transferred from laserdisc.

Die Hard 2 workprint - Includes several deleted and extended scenes. (Disc is PAL)

Disturbing Behavior extended version - Runs about 10 minutes longer than the theatrical cut.

Doctor Who 1996 workprint - The 1996 feature film, not quite finished. Featuring alternate scenes and missing/temp effects shots.

Election workprint - Features a different ending.

Epic Movie workprint - Really fucking bad movie that I shouldn't even illicitly own, but it has some alternate scenes and a different soundtrack. Whoopdeeshit.

Escape from New York extended edition - Incorporates the original bank robbery opening back into the flick.

Evil Dead 2 workprint - This isn't the complete workprint. Rather, it's a 40min excerpt from it that features all of the material unique to the workprint.

54 workprint - Runs about 30mins longer than final release.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High TV cut composite - Scenes edited back into TV broadcasts are cut back into the movie proper, padding the running time by 12 minutes.

Fight Club workprint - Features all of the deleted and alternate scenes on the DVD, plus a few extra, and temporary music.

Fortress uncut - This version recreates the UK Laserdisc and features two uncut scenes not present in any DVD release.

Freddy's Dead workprint - This version runs around 15 minutes longer than the theatrical cut and has many extra scenes.

Friday the 13th uncut - From Japanese laserdisc.

Friday the 13th Pt. III Japanese cut

Friday the 13th Pt. IV TV cut - Includes some extra and alternate scenes.

Friday the 13th Pt. IX workprint - Contains some scenes not included in final cut. Also does not include certain scenes that were shot in pickups.

From Dusk Till Dawn workprint excerpt - A 50min excerpt of the film, beginning with the bar fight sequence, which is extended by about 15mins in this version. Lots of gore that was cut for the theatrical release is present here. Lore on this thing is that the special effects team let it out.

From Dusk Till Dawn 3 workprint - Contains some extra scenes, missing some scenes and has an alternate ending. I remember seeing this at a convention before any Dusk sequels came out, being labeled as the "Dusk Till Dawn 2".

Gattaca workprint - Contains about 20mins of footage deleted from theatrical release.

The Godfather Saga - For special TV broadcast, editor Walter Murch went back to the Godfather films and recut the entire story chronologically, even adding back in some previously deleted material. This is the 1990 version updated to include Part III, transferred from the laserdisc release of that version. (6 discs)

The Goonies extended TV version - Includes a few deleted scenes.

The Great Mouse Detective workprint - This version features no score, but all of the songs are in place.

Halloween 2 TV cut - Contains alternate scenes and a different ending. (Disc is PAL)

Halloween III uncut - Features some more gore and all that fun stuff.

Halloween 6 Master Collection - Contains four different cuts of the movie: producer's cut, director's cut, rough cut (all anamorphic widescreen) and the TV cut, plus a bonus disc of trailers and behind-the-scenes stuff. A great collection for this rather crappy movie. (5 discs)

Halloween H2O workprint - Temp score, different opening sequence and a few alternate scenes.

Halloween H2O TV cut - Contains some extra scenes not in the theatrical cut.

Halloween (2007) workprint - Lots of different/deleted scenes and stuff. Some material present in this cut didn't make it to the official DVD release.

Heavenly Creatures workprint - Features another dream sequence and a few more lines of dialogue.

Heavy Metal workprint - More complete in some areas than the version on the DVD, less complete in other areas.

Hellraiser III workprint - This version is missing some scenes and gore but contains two uncut scenes not available in any other version.

Hostel Part II workprint - The pre-release workprint missing some special effects and containing a short extra scene.

Hostel II Showtime broadcast - Features a different telecine transfer than the DVD/Blu-ray editions with color grading truer to Eli Roth's intentions.

Gangs of New York workprint - Runs 14 minutes longer than the theatrical release.

Idle Hands workprint - Features a bit of extra footage in the hospital, a deleted encding and an alternate score.

In the Mouth of Madness workprint - I am pretty sure that this workprint doesn't contain anything different, it's just a way to watch it in shitty quality with timecode. Do get the actual DVD, though, this movie fucking rules.

It extended version - This version of the Stephen King miniseries features one extra scene. Quality is okay, but blacks look pretty grey.

King Kong 1976 TV cut - Extended TV version of the 1976 remake. Restores about 45mins of deleted scenes. (2 discs)

Knocked Up exended composite - Runs around three hours long, this version includes every possible bit of footage that was included on the DVD set incorporated into the movie. (2 discs)

Hulk workprint - Infamous leaked workprint of the Ang Lee film.

Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back workprint - Runs a couple minutes longer than the theatrical cut, but it's not amazing. The one scene totally unique to this cut was incorporated into the composite below, and I'd recommend just getting that.

Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back composite - Edits almost all DVD deleted scenes, plus one from the workprint, back into the flick. Runs about two hours.

The Jerk TV version - Contains a number of extra scenes, which you can read up on here.

Johnny Mnemonic Japanese cut - Runs 110mins (14mins longer than US version). Features new scenes, alternately-edited scenes, alternate angles and a different soundtrack. Taken from official, out-of-print Japanese DVD. I re-authored the disc to have English subtitles for the Japanese language scenes, so you can follow the whole flick.

Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy workprint - Features lots of deleted footage an an alternate ending. Bonus features linclude an HBO First Look doc on the flick and a trailer. Could be used as a good supplemental disc to the official release.

L.A. Confidential workprint - This doesn't contain any extra footage.

Last House On The Left: "Krug & Company" cut - Contains a bit of footage cut from most common releases.

Last of the Mohicans original theatrical edition - For those that do not prefer the readily available director's cut.

Lawnmower Man uncut - This is probably the version available on laserdisc and DVD. I probably shouldn't trade it until I figure that out. (2 discs)

Legend: Workprint Edition - This fanedit of the flick cuts all avilable footage back into the movie, including the storyboarded faerie dance sequene.

Life of Brian composite - Edits deleted scenes from Criterion DVD back into the flick.

The Lion King early workprint - This contains mostly storyboards and an alternate version of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight", and no "Hakuna Matata". Check out this forum post for a detailed review.

The Little Mermaid early presentation reel - Features several segments and songs, all in very rough form.

Mad Max 2 original Aussie version - Features all of the orignal Australian voices.

Mad Max 2 lost version - Lost TV version of the flick, with all of the violence cut out, being replaced by additional footage and even repeated shots. Check this page for a comprehensive list of all the differences between this and the theatrical version.

Mallrats TV cut - (for a TV-PG rating), featuring extra scenes and Jay sometimes being voiced by someone who isn't Jay! Almost as funny as a novelty as the flick is by itself.

Mary Shelley's Frankenstein workprint - Includes a bit of extra gore that was cut for the theatrical release, the Fay Ripley scene and a scene with a re-animated dog.

The Mask workprint - Includes a few deleted scenes and storyboards in place of visual effects. The most entertaining part, however, is that since the CG effects are not yet present, Jim Carrey acts out a lot of the freakout scenes himself. Very amusing.

Men In Black workprint - I'm not sure if this contains anything different or not.

Metropolis - The 1984 Giorgio Moroder edition, with tinted scenes, a rock score and subtitles. An interesting bastardization.

Mimic workprint - Runs longer than the theatrical cut, with some alternate/extended scenes and an alternate ending.

Mulholland Dr. pilot version - featuring alternate and deleted scenes, and missing final act of theatrical film.

Natural Born Killers workprint - Runs over 14mins longer than the director's cut.

Necronomicon uncut - Ostensibly taken from the Japanese laserdisc.

Needful Things TV version - This is the TBS broadcast version that runs just over an hour longer than the DVD version and contains many extra scenes.

Nemesis director's cut - This version runs around 8 minutes shorter than the DVD version; it misses many scenes but contains a few extra shots. It also misses the narration.

Night of the Creeps TV cut - This is essentially the same as the Director's Cut recently released on DVD/Blu-ray, but there's a few extra scenes even aside from the alternate ending, and some of the more violent bits removed.

Night of the Living Dead (1990) workprint

Nightmare on Elm Street composite edit - Letterboxed composite with Elite Home Video footage. Replaces deleted scenes and workprint excerpts into a widescreen version of the film. After the movie, all the alternate takes and unfinished effects are shown, including an alternate ending.

Nightmare on Elm St 5 uncut - This version is taken from the American Laserdisc and is the full uncut version which contains two scenes complete with extra gore.

No Country for Old Men workprint - Not different. Pretty useless.

One Hour Photo alternate cut - Features a bit of extra footage, a alternate opening and alternate ending. I personally like this better than the theatrical cut.

Payback workprint - Very different version of the flick. This is director Brian Helgeland's original cut before Mel Gibson had it recut for release. Also differs from director's cut officially released on DVD.

Phantasm II workprint - Contains additional scenes and gore cut to avoid an X rating.

Phantasm III workprint - Contains gore removed to get an R rating.

Planes, Traines & Automobiles TV version - Check out info on the extra scenes here

Pocahontas workprint - Always interesting, a work-in-progress animated flick, featuring an unreleased song where Mel Gibson sang.

(Howard Stern's) Private Parts workprint - Contains a different narration and alternate scenes.

The Punisher (1990) workprint version A - Featuring a temp score and about ten minutes of extra footage cut from the final release. Check out this page for a very comprehensive list of differences.

Re-Animator: Re-Animated - Extended edition of the flick that cuts all the deleted scenes from the DVD back into the movie. Narratively, this version makes a lot more sense.

Return of the Living Dead workprint - Contains oodles more gore and an alternate, in-progress ending.

Robocop 2 workprint - This version is uncut and contains seen new scenes.

Scream: Director's Cut - Features a bit of extra gore cut from the American release. From Japanese DVD.

Silence of the Lambs workprint - This version runs around 5-6 minutes longer than the theatrical release and contains many differences including at least fourteen scenes and loads of extra shots.

Sleepaway Camp uncut - Runs just a bit longer than the DVD version, but contains a bit of extra gore. For fans of this excellent horror classic, this is a must-see.

Southland Tales: The Cannes Cut - Early version of Richard Kelly's second fillm. The film is a trainwreck in any form, but I think it's very interesting, and there's a lot of fun differences in this version. There's more Kevin Smith and Janene Garafalo's character is still present. Check out here for complete info. Captured from a UK HD broadcast by a nice anonymous person, DVD-ified by DarkJedi. Available in PAL & NTSC.

Spaceballs TV cut - Doesn't contain any extra scenes, but it does contain a number of alternate takes with toned-down language. For example, the all of the Assholes on the ship are Morons (and this is not re-dubbed, the scene was shot this way).

Starship Troopers workprint - Haven't been able to check all the way through this, but runs a bit shorter than the theatrical release and has some unfinished effects.

Superman III: The Extended Salkind Television Cut - The not-as-infamous longer version of this not-as-good Superman flick. Check here for more info.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre III dailies - About 90mins of raw footage from the shoot.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre III workprint - Features a few exclusive shots and an alternate ending.

The Thing TV version - Includes a voiceover, amongst other modifications. You'll find more info here.

This Is Spinal Tap workprint - Runs 270mins (four and a half hours). Not only does it contain way way more deleted scenes than on any official release, it's also missing nearly all of the interview footage with the band, meaning that there's actually yet more deleted footage here. (3 discs)

Trauma workprint - Runs about 10mins longer than the theatrical cut, featuring 9 deleted scenes.

Twice Upon a Time laserdisc rip - The home video version of the film with censored audio.

Urban Legend workprint - Contains no extra footage but does have a different score.

Vampires workprint - Not sure if there's anything different here.

Very Bad Things workprint - Temp score, a bit more nudity and a bunch of alternate/trimmed dialogue that was cut to avoid an NC-17.

Videodrome uncut composite version - Combines footage from all known versions of the film, resulting in a running time of about 105mins (20mins longer than "uncut" version).

Waiting For Guffman workprint - Runs 125mins and features many deleted and alternate scenes. Missing subplots that were put in for the final film, and features the uncut version of the musical, which runs about 40mins just by itself.

The Warriors TV cut composite - Features the unique scenes from the TV cut of the flick incorporated back into the film proper.

Waterworld workprint - Features unfinished special effects and some deleted scenes.

What Dreams May Come workprint - 96mins. Missing some scenes from final film, but featuring original ending and Ennio Morricone score.

When Time Ran Out long version - The only film that Paul Newman did just for money. He would later recall it as "that volcano movie." I believe this is the longest version available, more info here.

Willard (2003) workprint - Features extra scenes, uncut scenes and the original ending.

The X-Files: Fight the Future workprint - I've gotta check this to see what's different at all, but it does have at least some unfinished visual effects.

X-Men 3: Extended Edition - Edits several deleted scenes and voiceovers back into the flick.
